JAKARTA: State toll road operator PT Jasa Marga will spend this year Rp 3 trillion (US$327 million) on capital expenditure for toll road construction with the greater part financed by bank loans.
“We have received some commitment from state banks to allocate funds to us,” Jasa Marga president director Frans Sunito said Tuesday.
This year Jasa Marga will construct the Semarang-Ungaran and Surabaya-Mojokerto toll roads and sections of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road.
Frans said that the company would require Rp 25 trillion in investment for the next four
years to construct 250 kilometers of toll roads.
The company aims to get Rp 4,2 trillion in revenue this year, up from Rp 3.6 trillion in 2009. Profits for 2009 are expected to reach Rp 900 billion, up 27 percent from the previous year, when they reached Rp 707 billion. — JP
