BANDUNG, West Java: Around 200 artists, grouped in the Sundanese Artists Association (GASS), are scheduled to take part in the Kampung GASS show, a 15-hour non-stop musical performance at the Gasibu Square in Bandung on Wednesday.
“The event will feature artists from Bandung. We wish to present the event as a gift to Bandung for its 200th anniversary,” said Kampung GASS spokesperson Ira Maya Sopha in Bandung.
Among the artists participating in the event, which falls on National Music Day, are Arman Maulana, The Titans, Laudya Cynthia Bella, Aming, KAHITNA, D’Cinnamon, Serieus, KOIL, ST 12, Mocca, Rossa, Burgerkill, The Virgin, The Milo, Melly Goeslaw, Sania, Vina Panduwinata, Shanty, The Changcuters, and The Golden Girls.
Kampung GASS organizing committee head Melly Goeslaw hailed Bandung for its art and music scene, saying that around 85 percent of Indonesia’s artists and musicians were from Bandung.
