The state weather agency forecasts that rain will fall in most areas of Greater Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency warns of possible sudden downpours along with strong winds and lightning in South Jakarta, Depok and Bogor.
The agency reports that it will be cloudy in all municipalities in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi and Depok, with only light rain in Bogor on Wednesday morning.
In the afternoon, light rain is expected to fall over Central, North, East and West Jakarta, Tangerang and Bekasi, while there will be heavier rain in South Jakarta, Bogor and Depok.
Showers will continue in the evening in North, South and West Jakarta, Thousand Islands, Bogor, Tangerang and Bekasi.
