Accidents, stalled truck lead to heavy traffic jams

JAKARTA: Traffic accidents in several parts of the toll road caused heavy traffic congestion throughout Wednesday.

Four cars were involved in a pileup on the Pondok Indah—Kampung Rambutan section of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road at around 11:15 a.m.

The cars included a van, a minivan and two SUVs. No casualties were reported in the incident, vivanews.com reported.

Meanwhile, a compact minivan overturned on the inner toll road between Kelapa Gading and Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta, causing heavy congestion in the area for much of the morning.

Elsewhere, a truck was stalled at the inner toll road near the Semanggi I gate, causing a 4-kilometer line of traffic between 8 a.m. and 11:25 a.m. — JP
