Two victim protection agency officials dismissed

JAKARTA: Two officials from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), I Ktut Sudiharsa and Myra Diarsi, were officially dismissed Wednesday for to their alleged role in incriminating two deputies from the Corruption Eradication Commission.
LPSK chairman Abdul Haris Semendawai, told the press on Wednesday the agency had sent
a letter to President Susilo
Bambang Yudhoyono requesting
a presidential decree to authorize the dismissals.
“After studying the results of
our supervisory board’s investigation, the LPSK plenary meeting last week decided to dismiss Ktut and Myra,” Abdul said.
The President has 30 days after receiving the letter to issue the decree, he added. — JP
