JAKARTA: The Jakarta Inspectorate questioned Friday the Jakarta Independent Study Center forum chairwoman Ade Pujiati following reports on the misappropriation of the School Operational Aids (BOS)
and Education Operational Aids (BOP) funds at a junior high school in Jakarta.
“The inspectorate began its investigation by checking our financial report over the past two years,” Ade told reporters after the questioning session.
Earlier, the forum, together with Indonesia Corruption Watch, reported Junior High School No. 28 (SMPN 28) in Central Jakarta to the division for allegedly misappropriating 2007-08 funds that should have been channeled to the Johar Baru TKBM in Central Jakarta, causing a potential loss of Rp 390 million (US$32,730).
According to existing regulations, schools that managed study centers had the right to manage the fund and channel it to study centers based on their programs. — JP
