Police have tightened security in Banda Aceh to prevent suspected terrorists who escaped a raid in Aceh Besar from entering the city.
"If [the suspected terrorists] go west, they have to pass through Banda Aceh," Banda Aceh Police chief Armensyah Thay said Saturday as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.
He said his officers had checked identity cards at the city entrance gate, Simpang Lambaro, and Simpang Rima since two days ago.
