Police arrest healthcare swindler in Bekasi

BEKASI: Bekasi Police on Sunday arrested a woman for allegedly
swindling nine people who were looking to bypass their healthcare
costs.
Ayu Andiani was arrested at her house in Pondok Gede after police received reports about illegal
activities.
News portal tempointeraktif.com reported that Ayu conned her victims by promising them a cheaper way to pay for healthcare.
Ayu, who introduced herself to her victims as an aide to the Bekasi
Police, then asked her victims to give her between Rp 200,000 (US$21.8)
and Rp 700,000, to open a bank account and pay administration fees. — JP
