Around 100 taxi, bajaj (three-wheel taxi) and ojek (motorcycle taxi) drivers grouped under the Trans Indonesia Movement Front staged another protest Wednesday outside the State-owned Enterprise Ministry in Jakarta, demanding reinstatement of a parking lot allocated for them at Gambir railway station.

The protesters began their convoy from the office of the Democratic People’s Bastion (Bendera) on Jl. Diponegoro in Central Jakarta. NGO activists joined taxi drivers during the rally.

A protester carried a white duck, which he said would be presented to the state enterprise minister.

Last month, the taxi drivers organized a rally against a monopoly of parking lots and taxi ranks at the train station.
