Hunting terrorists: Mobile Brigade (Brimob) police officers leave Lamkeubeu village in Aceh Besar regency, after conducting a raid on a group of suspected terrorists in the area early this month.Antara
First, I wholeheartedly congratulate the recent successful police operation against terrorists in Jakarta.
The Indonesian government led by President SBY deserves full credit and support for this. I do hope others countries in the Asia Pacific region like Pakistan, the
Philippines, Afghanistan take a leaf from Indonesia’s book on fighting terrorism.

I do believe the terrorism does not represent Islam and the religious teachings (I am a Catholic).
I believe terror stems from disappointment among the terrorists in response to injustice in Indonesia or perhaps in the world. Injustice is a social problem.

I saw when Detachment 88 officers shot two suspected terrorists on Gang Asem. I am irritated by what happened. Two suspected terrorists were shot and fell into the street. They were dying but the police shot them again in the head.
We know how dangerous are they but they are human. They deserve to live. Let the court will judge them.
If we talk about terrorists it refers to the bomb and death but the root of the terrorists are from the Palestine land where Palestinians have been colonized by Israelis and Israel is supported by the US and other countries.
As Muslims, of course we are irritated by what has happened in Palestine. Muslims have different perceptions of the jihad, which is why some Muslims go for jihad against the United Stated properties in the world.

Two thumbs up for the police! Terrorism is like a “vampire” ready to kill anyone without permission. I can’t imagine the future of our beloved country, Indonesia, if the terrorists still keep on spreading the violence among the citizens. Oh, it will be a nightmare!

While the threat of a threat of terrorist violence is certainly real, Indonesia is a far safer country than many Western “first world” nations.
More than 25,000 people are killed each year by handguns in the United States alone. Violent criminal activity is almost unheard of in Jakarta, yet is almost common place in parts of virtually every American large city.
Ask yourself: Where is one more likely to get mugged: Jakarta or New York City, Bandung or Detroit, Surabaya or Baltimore?

I think there would not be as many terrorists if our people had a proper job and education to support their life because most of the perpetrators come from the low-rank-economic people. So it is our concern to deal with this problem.

Massive coverage on terrorism currently is fraud.
It is government propaganda to turn the public’s head from Bank Century bailout.
