The state weather agency has forecast that it will be cloudy over most parts of Greater Jakarta on Thursday morning before rain in the afternoon and evening.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported that in the morning skies would be cloudy in South, West, East and Central Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi and Depok, while rain would fall over North Jakarta, Thousand Islands and Bogor.
In the afternoon, showers will hit North, West and Central Jakarta, Tangerang and Bogor, with heavier rain in other areas, except in Thousand Islands, which will be cloudy.
Rain will continue throughout the evening, except in Central, North and East Jakarta and Bekasi.
The agency has issued warnings of sudden downpours with strong winds and lightning in Thousand Islands, Bogor, Bekasi and South Jakarta on Thursday.
