Fifteen die in road accidents

BATANG, Central Java: Two separate traffic accidents in Batang regency, Central Java, late Tuesday killed 15 people.
In the first accident, a truck carrying paper hit a cliff in Alas Roban area, killing five men on board.
In the second one, a PO Jaya bus hit a trailer in Penundan village in Banyuputih district,
killing 10 bus passengers and injuring 30 others.
Chief of Batang Police, Adj. Sr. Comr. Ahmad Luthfi, said based on testimonies from the passengers, the bus accident allegedly happened because of the driver’s reckless driving. — JP
