JAKARTA: After almost a decade away from the big screen, actress Inneke Koesherawati will return to showbiz to appear in a religious film Di Bawah Langit (Under the Sky).
Religious singer Opick will produce and act in the film.
“The film’s good, looking at the script. And I’m a big fan of Opick.” Inneke said as quoted by Inilah.com.
The actress, who formerly played in steamy movies, said she had agreed to play in the movie because she trusted Opick. Inneke now wears a headscarf and refuses to act in such scenes.
“I’m selective in playing roles in movies, especially in horror movies. I know that Opick’s film will be a religious one so it’s safe from those kinds of scenes,” she said.
She said because she hadn’t performed for a long time, she found she was nervous during takes. The location for the shooting of the movie is in Malimping, Banten, around seven hours from Jakarta.
Inneke said after finishing the film she will return to her busy life attending to her husband and children. — JP
