Letter: My day so far

A- A A+

My wife has just returned from the local state owned electricity company PLN office to pay the February electricity.

The reading is now done by a PLN rep using the photo option of a mobile phone; I was present at the time and was able to record the reading.

My wife has just been to pay the February billing (we were out of the country for 2 weeks of the month) and we find that it is based on an incorrect meter reading, which is 353 kWh over what it should be.
So, we had to pay the excess; a new billing is out of the question. The situation will be rectified at the next billing – hopefully!

On March 10 we received two envelopes through the post from Indovision.

Both were stamped Pos Indonesia BMPC Jakarta 10400, Feb 22 2010, so it took some two weeks for them to travel from Jakarta to Pos Bojonsari!

When my wife questioned this with the local Pos, the blame was laid on Pos Jakarta.

I have just opened both Indovision envelopes and they contain exactly the same invoice to be paid by Feb. 28 – fortunately I make a monthly standing payment to Indovision otherwise who would pay the fine for late payment.

It’s midday – can my day get any more frustrating?
