ANDUNG: Actor and TV presenter Ebet Kadarusman went into a coma Wednesday during his treatment for stroke at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, West Java.
Ebet, 75 was taken to the hospital Tuesday. “He’s currently in a coma,” hospital director Rizal Chaidar said as quoted by Antara.
“He suffered a stroke and had a brain aneurysm. This was not his first stroke.” Ebet first suffered a stroke in 2001. He recovered, but had another attack in August 2009.
Rizal said the hospital had ruled out surgery for Ebet, given his advanced age.
“We’ll provide basic treatment such as prescribing intravenous anti-stroke medication,” he said.
Ebet worked briefly as a radio host in Australia. –JP
