Letter: Situ Gintung reconstruction

With a seemingly endless supply of negative things to say about the Jakarta government and administration, I would actually like to report what appears to be good news.
I live quite close to Situ Gintung in Ciputat, Tangerang and, while I was very fortunate that my house was not damaged in the flood of a year ago, I drive right through the most heavily impacted area twice each day.
In the past few months there has been some excellent reconstruction of Jl. Gunung Raya (which was destroyed in the flood), the local mosque and the dam itself.
This is a very welcome development! And while there is still much more work to do, I am very encouraged and pleased with the efforts put forth by the local authorities. Keep up the good work!
