Floods have inundated at least 790 hectares of rice fields in Bojonegoro, East Java, poising risk to spool ready-to-harvest crops, according to local agriculture agency.
News portal tempointeraktif.com reported that flood have inundated the crops for two day. Inundation of more than three poise greater risk of spoiled crops.
Subekti, head of the agency, said Saturday that his office was still collecting data of rice fields affected by the overflowing Bengawan Solo river.
Farm areas affected by the flood includes those in Kanor, Balen, Trucuk, and Kalitidu.
In the past three months, flooding, caused by the overflowing Bengawan Solo tributary Mekuris, have spoiled crops in Temayang and Kanor districts.
