A group of NGOs and student groups on Sunday launched a center to collect and follow up reports from the public about violations that could occur during the upcoming countrywide national examinations.

The center, headquartered at the Jakarta Legal Aid Institute’s (LBH) offices in Central Jakarta, is jointly managed by several organizations, including the Indonesian Islamic Students, the Independent Teachers Association, the Education Forum and the National Student Front.

”As many students in the country still have no access to high-quality education and decent school infrastructure, the decision to force them to sit a standardized national examination can only bring negative impacts as well as widening the potential for both students and schools to commit violations,” center coordinator Virgo Sulianto said at a press conference.

Those who want to report irregularities can fax their report to 021 39102377 or email it to poskonasionalpengaduanun2010@gmai
