The Corruption Eradication Commission [KPK] has stated its readiness to investigate further on possible graft case in the National Police, which previously had been reported by former detective chief Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji to the Judicial Mafia Taskforce.
“As long as the report and dossiers ready, including any possible grafts report, we surely would handle the case,” KPK spokesman Johan Budi SP told tempointeraktif.com on Sunday.
However, the taskforce has yet to establish coordination with KPK on Susno’s report, he added.
Susno reportedly had accused the police officers, including two police generals, of embezzling the money in the alleged money laundering and tax evasion because they stopped the investigation into the case.
Susno identified the first accused as the then “second in command” of the National Police, which may refer to then National Police deputy chief Comr. Gen. Makbul Padmanegara.
Others Susno accused were Brig. Gen EI [one of Susno’s subordinate in that case was Brig. Gen Edmon Ilyas], Brig. Gen RE, Comr. E, Sr. Comr. B and Adj. Sr. Comr. M, at the Special Economy Directorate at the National Police detective body.
Susno said those police officers may at least back up the illicit practice.
