Driver, assistant die after hitting food stallpa

JAKARTA: A truck driver and his assistant died Sunday after their vehicle hit a food stall on Jl. Raya Bogor Sukabumi in Bogor.

Desi, the owner of the food stall, witnessed the accident, saying the speeding truck, loaded with melons, hit her food stall after the driver attempted to avoid crashing into a truck that had just stopped behind a long line of vehicles.

Head of Bogor Police’s traffic operation section First Insp. Zaenul Arifin said the victims were brought to Ciawi Hospital. — JP
