Fake copies of the questions to be used in the national examinations are believed to have been widely distributed in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.
“Each copy of the fake exams was sold from between Rp 500,000 [US$54] to Rp 6 million,” Kendari Education Agency head H. Damsid told Antara state news agency on Monday.
“An unidentified perpetrator used three types of codes on the fake tests to convince the victims they were authentic,” he said, adding that all the codes were unregistered at his office.
