JAKARTA: Senen District Administration Office set Monday night as the deadline for vendors of
Senen Inpres Market, whose kiosks were razed in a huge fire two weeks ago, to move from the sidewalk to block 6 of the market due to traffic congestion they have caused.
Senen District Chief Hidayatullah told beritajakarta.com on Monday that his office had instructed them to move their belongings from the sidewalk to block 6 at the first floor of the market.
“We will evict them if they do not leave the sidewalk by Tuesday morning,” Hidayatullah said.
He added that his office had coordinated with PD Pasar Jaya, which had promised to help move the vendors.
Ivo Edwin Ariyanto, Manajer Area 02 of PD Pasar Jaya, said his office would prepare to accommodate the vendors. — JP
