The judicial corruption eradication taskforce has asked the National Police to postpone their investigation into a defamation case in which former detective chief Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji has been named a suspect for reporting a possible graft case involving police officers.

“It would be better to delay it,” secretary of the taskforce Denny Indrayana said as quoted by kompas.com prior to a meeting between the taskforce and the police over Susno's report at police headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday.

“Better to look first at the [reported] corruption case,” Denny said.

Susno accused a number of police officers, including two police generals, of embezzling the money in an alleged money laundering and tax evasion case because they stopped their investigation into the case.

The National Police's Brig. Gen. Edmon Ilyas and Brig. Gen. Raja Erizman later reported him for defamation under Articles 310 and 311 of the Criminal Code.
