JAKARTA: Spiritual guru Anand Krishna, a suspect in a sexual harassment case, ignored a police summons for questioning at Jakarta Police headquarters Tuesday, citing health problems and fatigue.
"This morning, we met police investigators to submit a doctor's note stating that Anand needed time to rest and recover," Astro P. Girsang, one of Anand's lawyers, told The Jakarta Post via telephone Tuesday.
Astro, however, did not elaborate on Anand's condition.
The Jakarta Police said it had planned to question Anand today after confirming he was a suspect on Monday.
The case began when a former student at one of Anand's meditation classes, Tara Pradipta Laksmi, filed a sexual harassment report with the police last month. - JP
