National exams rollout still has hitches

DENPASAR: Confusion continues to dog the implementation of the junior high national examinations on Tuesday.
Some schools in Denpasar, Badung, Tabanan and Karangasem regencies reported that they received either blank answering sheets or that some answering sheets were damaged.
"We will file a report on all the problems," I Wayan Suasta, the head of Bali's education office, said.
I Gusti Lanang Djelantik, the head of Denpasar's education office, added that blank or damaged answering sheets could not be scanned. There are 55,301 junior high school students sitting the four-day national exams, which started Monday.
"The running of the junior high exam is much smoother than last week's senior high exams," Suasta said. - JP
