ANGERANG: The Health Ministry said it hadn't made a decision regarding where it would source meningitis vaccines for haj pilgrims this year, an official said Sunday.
"Our options are either China or Germany," ministry secretary-general Ratna Rosita was quoted as saying by news portal tempointeraktif.com at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport upon her arrival from Saudi Arabia.
She said the Saudi government required all haj pilgrims to have meningitis vaccines before arriving in the country.
Ratna said the ministry was working with the Indonesian Ulema Council to study the options from both countries. For last year's vaccines, the ministry chose vaccines from the UK.
