Municipality brings down 21 illegal buildings

JAKARTA: The East Jakarta municipality has torn down 21 illegal houses so far this year.Of that number, 15 were residential buildings.

The buildings were torn down because their owners did not have building permits, Akhlak Semaun, an official from the municipality office said Thursday to beritajakarta.com.

The municipality has sealed off 288 buildings this year because they were seen to have caused disturbances in their neighborhoods. - JP
