The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues its investigation into the controversial bailout process of then Bank Century, questioning former Bank Indonesia deputy senior governor Miranda S. Goeltom on Tuesday.
Miranda, upon arriving at the KPK headquarters, told awaiting journalists that she was to be questioned as a witness, without giving further details.
“[I'm] only being asked over Century,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.
The antigraft body is focusing its investigations on graft that allegedly occurred in Bank Century's handling of the BI liquidity assistance and the Rp 6.76 trillion (US$716 million) bailout, and the subsequent channeling of funds.
Miranda has also been implicated in a graft case in which the KPK has named four former lawmakers as suspects for allegedly receiving bribes for the 2004 election of her as BI senior deputy governor.
