RI to miss MDGs target

Indonesia is likely to fail to meet three out of eight Millennium Development Goals by the 2015 deadline, a minister says.
State Minister for National Development Planning/National Development Planning Board chief Armida Alisjahbana said Tuesday maternal health, HIV/AIDS control and sustainable forest would the fields the country would fare below the target.
“Although, in general, achievement of the goals is on track, but we still have some goal indicators that are off the track with a possibility of failing,” Armida was quoted by kompas.com on Tuesday.
Armida was attending a meeting with governors across the country at Tampaksiring Presidential Palace in Gianyar, Bali.
