A Garuda Indonesia Airlines plane was forced to returned back to Jakarta after bad weather prevented it from landing in Raden Inten II Airport in Lampung on Wednesday morning.
Endang, a staff member of the airport, told Antara news agency that the plane was supposed to land at 7:25 a.m. in Lampung.
“The airport has low visibility, and it was decided that the plane fly back to Soekarno-Hatta Airport [in Jakarta] for safety reasons,” she said.
The news agency reported that there was yet information as of when the Lampung Airport would be reopened.
