Habibie's wife scheduled for fifth operation

JAKARTA: The wife of the third Indonesian president, B.J. Habibie, Hasri Ainun Habibie, was scheduled to undergo her fifth operation at a hospital in Munich, Germany.

"If all goes well, she is scheduled for her fifth operation *on Tuesday*," said Sibawaihi, a spokesman for the Association of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI), in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Ainun has been receiving treatments for a pancreatic infection.

Sibawaihi said Ainun was in a stable condition.

Ainun was admitted to the Munich hospital on March 24. - JP
