Bogor needs museums for heritage items

BOGOR: Bogor needs museums to house hundreds of heritage items found in the city, an official says.

"Bogor does not have special museums for its historic objects. *However* considering the size of its collection, it really needs a museum," Bogor administration culture and tourism chief Shahlan Rasyidi told Antara on Sunday.

Bogor has recorded 600 historic objects in the city, 245 of which have been officially acknowledged by a ministry since 2007.

The administration currently only manages two museums - the Map Museum and Warrior Museum. - JP
