The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Iken B.R. Nasution a suspect for alleged involvement in a graft case on fictitious cattle procurement in the social service ministry.
KPK deputy chairman Chandra Hamzah told lawmakers at the House of Representatives on Wednesday that Iken, the son of noted lawyer Adnan Buyung Nasution, was named suspect in February for his alleged role in the case.
Iken is a commissioner of PT Atmadhira Karya, a partner of the ministry in the cattle procurement project between 2005 and 2006.
The case has implicated former social service minister Bachtiar Chamsyah, who was also named suspect in the case by KPK in February.
Based on KPK preliminary estimation, the import of cows cost state losses of Rp 3.6 billion (US$399,600).
