The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati at her office for two-and-a-half hours Thursday over the controversial Bank Century bailout.
The KPK asked about the "background of the recent global financial crisis and the issuance of the regulation-in-lieu-of-law" on the financial system safety net, said Mulyani.
Mulyani refused to comment further on the questioning process. She did not remember how many questions were raised by KPK investigators.
Asked whether she would be questioned again by the KPK, Mulyani only said: "We'll see."
The minister then left the Finance Ministry complex, reportedly to go to the State Palace.
The questioning process ran from about 10.30 a.m. to 12 p.m. conducted by at least three KPK investigators.
This afternoon, KPK is scheduled to hold the questioning of Vice President Boediono over the Bank Century bailout case at the Merdeka Selatan Palace.
KPK spokesman Johan Budi confirmed the plan, and said, "Pak Boediono will be questioned today at 2 p.m. at the [Vice Presidential] Palace."
Johan said there would be no KPK commissioners attending the questioning.
The House of Representatives holds Boediono and Mulyani responsible for the Bank Century bailout in November 2008, which increased tenfold to Rp 6.76 trillion from its original estimate, and which it says was flawed.
