The Islam Defenders Front (FPI) has threatened to raid movie theaters that will screen a local-made comedy film starring Japanese porn star Maria “Miyabi” Ozawa on its premiere on Thursday.

FPI’s economy unit head Mustafa Embong said Wednesday the hard-line Muslim group would consistently oppose to anything related to the movie star, whose film “Menculik Miyabi” (Kidnapping Miyabi) marks her debut in Indonesian movie industry.

“The movie’s director or the (production house) management has gone wilder. We don’t guarantee it (the premiere) will be secure. We will hunt them down because they have broken their promise to cancel the movie,” Mustafa said as quoted by kompas.com.

Ody Mulya Hidayat of the Maxima Pictures, which produced the movie, said that the film had passed state-run censor body almost uncut under the category of teen movie.

The Cinema 21 movie theater network has announced the immediate screening of the movie.
