China's government says imports and exports both grew strongly in April in a new positive sign for the world's third-largest economy.
A government news agency Monday said exports rose 30.5 percent from a year earlier to US$119.9 billion while imports jumped 49.7 percent to $118.2 billion.
The country rebounded to a trade surplus of $1.7 billion in April after posting a deficit in March for the first time in six years.
