Thousand Islands census hit by bad weather

JAKARTA: The Thousand Islands branch of the Central Statistics Agency announced Sunday that they had put on hold some of their work on Sunday citing poor weather conditions.

"Until today, for example, our officers have not gone to Sebira Islet because of strong waves of up to 2 meters around the islet for the past several days," agency head Banua Rambe was quoted as saying by beritajakarta.com.

Out of 106 islands in the regency, only seven are inhabited. - JP
