The House of Representatives Commission III on Law and Human Rights conducted Tuesday a meeting to discuss the arrest of former National Police detective chief Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji.
Susno was arrested on Tuesday night for an alleged involvement in a fraud involving a Riau-based arwana fish-farming company.
A legislator from the People's Conscience Party (Hanura), Syarifudin Suding, said that Susno's arrest was suspicious because the general was the one who revealed the case in the first place.
"There is no way for a whistle blower to reveal a case that involves himself," he told reporters shortly before entering the commission meeting chamber.
