The National Police said Thursday that it would disclose identity of alleged terrorists who were apprehended earlier in the morning in Solo, Central Java.
The terrorist suspects were on their way to Jakarta and planned to be placed at police’s mobile brigade headquarters detention unit in Kelapa Dua, Depok, said police deputy spokesman Brig. Gen. Zainuri Lubis.
Zainuri said that the police had identified three suspects' strong connection with an Aceh-based terrorist group, which was managed to be disarmed during their paramilitary training in a jungle in Aceh some time ago.
The three suspects did not strike back against the police while being apprehended, he added.
According to kompas.com, the three suspects are identified as Joko Purwanto, Abdul Hamid and Erwin.
