SBY visits Singapore, Malaysia

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono left Jakarta on Monday for Singapore and Malaysia to further strengthen relations with the two countries.

On his three-day trip, Yudhoyono is accompanied by First Ladi Kristiani Yudhoyono and a number of ministers including Coordinating Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa, State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, and Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro.

In Singapore, Yudhoyono will hold talks with Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on the two countries' ties on investment, trade and other cooperation.

On Tuesday, Yudhoyono will depart for Malaysia for a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak. He will meet with Malaysian businessmen on the same day.

On Wednesday, Yudhoyono is scheduled to address an international conference in Kuala Lumpur.
