The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) selection committee announced Monday that the official registration for candidacy for the top KPK leadership post would open on May 25.
"We will select two candidates to compete for one KPK leader seat," Justice and Human Rights Minister, Patrialis Akbar, said at the first committee meeting on Monday.
He added that the new KPK leader will serve for four years.
"The Law on KPK stipulates that if there is an empty slot for a KPK executive, the President should name a candidate then submit this name to the House of Representatives," Patrialis said. The House then will choose the leader. (ipa)
