1,500 international triathletes to join Bintan race

As many as 1,500 triathletes from around the world have confirmed their participation in the 6th Bintan Triathlon race in Riau Islands that is scheduled to run Saturday and Sunday.
Event coordinator Yudhiarto said Wednesday that most triathletes come from Europe, the US and Australia.
“In terms of number, triathletes from Australia, England, French and New Zealand will dominate the race,” he said as quoted by Antara.
Indonesian triathelete has yet to register the yearly race. However, six Indonesians, who have been studying in Singapore, planned to take part in the event, said Yudhiarto.
Yudhiarto said that the race was aimed to attract more international visitors to Bintan.
