774 students retake national exam

DENPASAR: Some 774 junior high-school students in Bali are retaking the national exam from May 17-20.

“Buleleng has the most participants, 346 students, followed by Denpasar, 223 students,” Bali Education Agency head Wayan Suasta said Tuesday.

Suasta said he was optimistic the students, who had either failed or not attended the initial round of exams, would pass the retakes.

The island’s junior high-schools ranked first in the nation with a 98.60 average pass rate. — JP
