Mild quake hits West Java

A 5.4-magnitude earthquake hit the westernmost part of Java Island on Wednesday morning, but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported that the quake struck 36 kilometers northwest of Ujung Kulon, West Java, 10 kilometers below the surface, at 7:13 a.m. local time.
The quake was felt in Jakarta, which is located around 200 kilometers from the epicenter.
