South Jakarta to build more community parks

Jakarta municipality plans to build community parks to fulfill the
pledge of developing 10,000 square meters open and green space by 2015.
“This year we will be acquiring the land and then build the parks next year,” said South Jakarta
Parks subagency head Heru Bambang Ermanto as quoted by beritajakarta.com.
Heru added his office had thus far purchased two plots of land in Kebagusan (1,700 sqm) and Rawabambu, Pasar Minggu (2,000 sqm).
It has allocated Rp 25 billion (US$2.7million) of the budget for land acquisition. — JP
