Prosecutors at the South Jakarta District Court have sought 10 years imprisonment for terrorist suspect Amir Abdillah for involvement in a terror group led by Noordin M. Top, the alleged mastermind of the Jakarta bombings last year.
“The testimonies of the witnesses and other evidences have confirmed Amir Abdillah’s role in the group,” prosecutor Totok Bambang told the court Monday.
Testimonies and other evidence during the trial revealed that Amir was the person ordered by Noordin M. Top, slain during a raid last year, to pick up Danny Dwi Permana, one of the suicide bombers at JW Marriott hotel last year.
He was also asked to be Noordin M. Top and Syaifuddin Zuhri’d driver during the planning of last year bombings.
