SBY to lead Ainun Habibie’s funeral

JAKARTA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will lead Tuesday the state funeral ceremony of Hasri Ainun Habibie, the wife of Indonesia’s third president B.J. Habibie, in Kalibata Heroes’ Cemetery in South Jakarta.

The President is scheduled to lead the ceremony before his departure to Oslo later in the day, presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal said here Monday.

Ainun died at 72 in a hospital in Munich, Germany, after undergoing a number of operations due to an illness. Yudhoyono ordered a plane be sent to bring back Ainun’s body to Jakarta. — JP
