A gas leak caused two apartment units to explode, injuring at least two people, at an apartment building on Jl. Pluit Karang Barat, North Jakarta, on Thursday morning, Antara news agency has reported.
The explosion blew out some of the building's 11th floor walls just after 6:30 a.m. the news agency reported.
Authorities have yet to make an official statement on the incident.
Earlier this month, an explosion caused panic at an office building on Jl. Jend. Sudirman, Central Jakarta. The explosion was thought to have been triggered by a gas pipe leak that exploded in a restaurant on the second floor.
