Planetarium management eyes higher visitors

JAKARTA: City-run Planetarium and Observatory Jakarta management said Sunday that it expected a higher number of visitors due to a newly procured projector.

Planetarium and Observatory management head Delly Indirayati said it had a replacement projector for the broken one.

"We also try to be more proactive by visiting schools in Jakarta and other cities to promote our Planetarium and Observatory. We've seen a rising number of visitors recently," Delly was quoted to say on beritajakarta.com.

She said between 320 and 400 visitors visited the venue every day. The management has set to secure Rp 1.3 billion (US$140,000) this year from ticket sales.

"As of May, we have earned Rp 650 million. I am optimistic that we can meet the target" -JP
