A House of Representatives' plenary session has temporarily been delayed because too few legislators were attending it.

"We will temporarily delay this session until we reach the quorum," one of the House deputy speakers, Priyo Budi Santoso from the Golkar Party, told the few legislators attending the session.

Based on The Jakarta Post's observation, no more than 100 legislators were actually in the plenary room, while the list of attendance said 287 legislators.

This event ironically takes place at the same day of the Pancasila birth commemoration. Earlier in the day, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono he delivered his speech during the commemoration at the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), packed by legislators and regional legislative representatives.
